If you’re unable to access your Australian mobile number but you have a temporary overseas mobile number, let us know by calling the number on the back of your card.
Our St.George’s Secure Online Shopping Service protects you when you’re shopping online and you may need to receive a ‘One Time Password’ via SMS in order to verify your online transaction. This SMS can be received using your temporary overseas mobile number.
Did you know?
If you lose your card while travelling, you can simply log into internet banking and report it as stolen immediately.
Accessing your money overseas
While you can make withdrawals and check account balances using existing Australian debit and credit cards at most overseas ATMs (as long as you have your PIN), be aware that other fees and charges may apply and that some foreign countries have limited, or no access to, ATMs at all. You should also keep in mind that access to St.George online services is blocked in certain locations.
So, it's a good idea to have multiple ways of accessing funds when abroad, such as travel money card, credit card and/or Visa Debit Card1.
