Banking on your iPad FAQs

The St.George Banking app is compatible with any iPad running iOS 12 and above.

iPad users can download the latest app from the App Store

The Android tablet app is no longer available for download. Android tablet users can access banking by going to stgeorge.com.au and logging in to Internet Banking. If you have questions about using Internet Banking, see our Internet Banking FAQs.

From the home screen tap ‘Transfer & Pay’. You’ll be prompted to logon.

1. Select the ‘From’ account.
2. Select who to pay (you can also search for the payee), enter the amount and payment date.

Quick Pay – You can also add up to 5 frequent payments to Quick Pay. Once a payment is confirmed, on the receipt screen, choose 'save as Quick Pay transaction' by tapping the star. You can view Quick Pay transactions by pulling down the gripper at the top of the accounts screen. Choose your favourite transaction by marking it with a star – this will then sit on the top right hand corner of your accounts screen. One tap and the payment is made.

From within the transfer and pay screen, you have two options:

1. In the ‘To’ field, tap on the Billers icon then scroll through the list and select the correct BPAY biller. To add a new BPAY biller tap the ‘+’ icon next to the Search box.
2. Or use the Search box, just start typing the BPAY name or Biller Code and then choose from the selection shown.

Follow the prompts to complete your payment.

Overseas transfers are available within iPad Banking for any beneficiary that has already been set up via Internet Banking. To make an international funds transfer:

From the transfer and pay screen:

1. Select your ‘From’ account
2. In the ‘To’ field, tap on the O/Seas icon then select the correct beneficiary. Or use the Search box, just start typing the name of the beneficiary and then choose from the selection shown.
3. The beneficiary’s account details and currency will then be pre-populated in the transfer and pay screen.

Follow the prompts to complete your payment.

If you wish to add a new Overseas beneficiary, please logon to Internet Banking and create this payee.

1. Logon to the St.George Banking app
2. Tap the Services icon
3. Tap ‘Scheduled and Past Payments’ (in the My Payments section) then tap ‘+ Create a scheduled payment’
4. Select your ‘From’ account
5. Select who to pay, the amount, and the payment description (optional)
6. Tick ‘Set as a scheduled or recurring payment’
7. Select your payment frequency (e.g. weekly), then set the payment date
8. You can tick the box to receive an email confirmation once payment is made and tap ‘Continue’.
9. Tap ‘Submit payment’ to set up your scheduled payment

You can also set up future payments in branch.

Yes. You can set up a recurring payment for a specific amount. However, you can't schedule a recurring payment for the 'minimum' or 'full amount'.

Yes. You can place a scheduled payment on hold or release a scheduled payment that has been placed on hold. You can also delete a scheduled payment you've previously set up. On the accounts screen tap the ‘Services’ icon at the bottom of the accounts screen, then Scheduled and Past Payments (under My Payments). Then tap the payment to see the hold and delete options.

Yes. You can view any scheduled payments due to come out of your account in the next 7 days, or select view all. To view scheduled payments, tap the ‘Services’ icon at the bottom of the accounts screen and then tap ‘Scheduled Payments’ (under My Payments).

You can open or apply for any of these accounts via the St.George Banking app:

• Credit card applications
• Personal loan applications
• BT Super for Life

1. Open the St.George Banking app
2. Logon to the Dashboard
3. Select the ‘Open a new account’ tile.
4. This is located at the bottom on the screen, below your existing list of accounts.
5. Follow the prompts to open or apply for a new account.

Yes, the minimum amount for opening a Term Deposit is $1,000.

Yes, all of the same rules apply regardless of how you open an account.

Yes, you have 3 business days to “activate” the account or deposit funds into the account once you have opened it.

Yes, once you open an account on your iPad, you are automatically registered for Internet and Phone banking (if you are not already registered).

To use the St.George Banking app on your iPad, your web browser must be configured to accept ‘cookies¹’.

To enable cookies on your iPad^®:

1. From your iPad home screen, select ‘Settings’
2. Select Safari>Accept Cookies
3. Select ‘From visited’

Important information

¹A cookie is a small string of text that our website will send to your phone to enable our system to recognise your browser. This cookie won't retrieve any other data from your phone, or capture any personal information.

This error occurs when you do NOT have JavaScript enabled on your device.

To enable JavaScript on your iPad^®:

1. From your iPad home screen, select ‘Settings’
2. Select Safari
3. Switch ‘ON’ JavaScript

Yes. Banking on your iPad has the same security and authentication procedures as regular Internet Banking. You can bank at your convenience and be confident that your personal information is being protected. Read more about iPad Banking security

In the unlikely event that an unauthorised transaction does occur (and it is clear you have not contributed to the losses, subject to the account’s terms and conditions) we will refund the full amount. Read more about our commitment to you.

The calculator and the calendar are in the 'Transfer and Pay’ section. Select Make a Payment and you’ll see the calculator icon in the Amount field. The calendar is at the end of the 'Pay On’ field.

The BPay section is inside the 'Transfer and Pay’ section, once there tap on the 'To’ button, then tap the address book, then tap the Billers icon.
