St.George update on severe weather in QLD & northern NSW
30 March 2017
St.George has temporarily closed its branches and offices in southeast Queensland today, due to the severe weather conditions caused by ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie.
Tammy Cheng, Acting Head of QLD, St.George Retail Banking said: “The safety of our people and customers is our number one priority, that’s why we have closed all our branches and offices in southeast Queensland until the severe weather event passes.
“Our ATMs, online and phone banking services remain available. We are waiving fees for customers using other banks’ ATMs so they can access cash from the nearest ATM in southeast Queensland and concentrate on their safety.
“Our thoughts are with all Australians and their families who have been impacted by Cyclone Debbie and those now facing extreme weather conditions in southeast Queensland and northern New South Wales.”
St.George’s Lismore and Ballina branches in northern New South Wales are also closed. St.George will continue to monitor the conditions closely and provide further updates as necessary.
“We are extending our existing Tropical Cyclone Debbie Disaster Relief Package to include southeast Queensland and northern New South Wales. Customers affected are encouraged to contact their local St.George Branch where possible when it reopens or contact St.George Assist via the Online Hardship Form or on 1800 629 795," said Tammy.
