St.George unveils new look, designed by CAMILLA AND MARC
Thursday, 25 September 2014
Sydney, 25 September 2014 - St.George Bank has a new look thanks to a partnership with leading Australian design duo Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman of CAMILLA AND MARC.
St.George’s new uniforms were unveiled at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival, led by brand ambassadors Rachael Finch and Tom Williams as well as St.George bank’s own staff who not only modelled the uniforms, but helped design them.
St.George has supported the internationally acclaimed designers since the early days of the brand, and now a decade later, CAMILLA AND MARC have officially designed a new look to coincide with a modern and innovative transformation taking place at St.George.
“Our people and service promise are the true strength of St.George and we wanted a design that makes them feel fantastic and represents our innovative brand,” says Martine Jager General Manager, St.George Marketing and Customer Experience.
Martine adds how best practice from around the world shows that when people look good - they feel good - and are therefore in the best possible position to provide a superior customer experience.
“We also know that customer experience is rivalling price and product as a key brand differentiator – and this step in innovation is about creating that experience for our people and our customers.”
“By partnering input from our staff with an iconic Australian duo, we’ve created an innovative look for our brand that is comfortable and easy to wear, while still remaining contemporary and elegant. ”
The range has the CAMILLA AND MARC signature touches that reflect the ease of the Australian lifestyle with a luxurious and contemporary aesthetic. There are twenty-three pieces in the monochromatic collection consisting of knee-length tailored dresses, sophisticated black and white tees and tanks and a double-breasted, belted trench coat. The male uniforms see a professional yet fashion-forward aesthetic consisting of knit pullovers, tailored pants and a classic blazer and sports coat.
Since its high-profile launch at Australian Fashion Week in 2003, CAMILLA AND MARC has become an expert in luxury womenswear, garnering an enviable fan base of stylish young women and an A-list following that includes the likes of Kate Bosworth, Nicole Richie, Rose Byrne, Jessica Gomes and Kate Waterhouse.
Marc Freeman says the designs were created through working side-by-side with St.George’s appointed ‘style-ambassadors’ - St.George staff who helped match CAMILLA AND MARC’s signature tailoring with
St. George’s identity.
“Having St.George style ambassadors involved through the entire process has meant that the new look caters for each size and gender as well as cultural and climate requirements to tailor to St.George's diverse employee base.”
St.George Bank’s new look by CAMILLA AND MARC will be in St.George branches in April 2015.
